About Mental Health Copilots

Connecting Albertans with Mental Healthcare

Mental Health Copilots is a registered charity with the mission of connecting individuals to mental health services that work for them. We know it can be challenging to find the time and energy to search for professional support when you need it, so we’re here to help you find resources that fit your needs and preferences. Whether you book a free appointment with one of our Client Copilots or use our database to find resources on your own, we’re here to guide you on your mental health journey.

Mental Health Copilots was founded in 2019 after a Clinical Psychologist teaching at the University of Alberta gave the concept for the organization to Amanda Montey, Branden Leduc, and Meghan Regier. Since then, it has grown from a student-run, Edmonton-focused group with 10 volunteers to a team of more than 30 volunteers and 10 directors serving all of Alberta. In 2022 we hired our first Program Director, and in 2023 we gained charitable status.

Our Process

image.png

Submit an intake form and check your messages! Your Client Copilot will reach out to set up an appointment over your choice of a phone call, email, video call, or instant message session.

image.png

Share what you’re looking for in a mental health provider, then review the resources your Client Copilot recommends. Let us know what you think!

Choose the provider you think is a good fit for you, or request a new set of options if the providers don’t feel right. Repeat until you find the right provider.
